Hybrid Cloud architecture for Banking as a Platform
Techerati Keynote Theatre
The next generation of banking technology platforms must be able to scale elastically and provide highly reliable 24x7 service with no downtime, across the globe. We will use this hybrid approach as appropriate for specific applications, data sovereignty (hosting location and cross-border movement, and local regulations. As banking becomes more integrated into customers’ broader experiences (rather than a stand-alone ‘financial’ service), the need for banks to collect data (e.g. from Internet of Things, public or semi-public repositories, third party utilities) will increase and will need to be joined with our data. Being able to use the cloud will be critical both to store vast amounts of external data, as well the ability as to aggregate and analyse it in real time.
