NGINX is a well-known, high-performance web server, reverse proxy server, and load balancer, but most people only think about using NGINX as a "front door" service — at the edge of your data center, VPC, or even in front of a containerized platform. But what happens to traffic management once it's inside the microservices environment? As many people have progressed through their digital application journey from monolith to microservice, managing application traffic in this new containerized architecture can often be overlooked…until it becomes a bottleneck. In this session we will discuss microservices architectures, traffic management into and within kubernetes, and describe how NGINX is emerging as a widely used microservices hub for Ingress and all things related to microservices traffic management.
