Developers are employed to ship code, their core mission is to produce functions and features that deliver business value. They are surrounded by ancillary tasks such as meeting release standards, documentation, security controls, and compliance. Organizational processes are often unclear, leaving developers to decipher requirements, generate artifacts, and facilitate acceptance. Whilst necessary, they are not core to the developer experience or valued by the developer.
